Doom 3 Mission Pack Update
A month ago id Software said that a mission pack for Doom 3 was in the works and now on HomeLan Fed they mentioned that Ressurection Of Evil is being featured in the December 2004 issue of Computer Gaming World and the magazine is in stores now. Obviously there's some new screenies (go buy the mag to view) and reportedly the environment suit and the double barrel shotgun will be in the game along with a weapon that is similar to the gravity weapon in Half-Life 2 called the Grabber. Also the mission pack is being developed by Nerve Software, will have 11 single player levels, 4 multiplay levels, 4 new monsters and 3 new weapons. You can read what Homelan posted on this page.

Gaming Next Reviews Doom 3
Gaming next has thier version of a Doom 3 review pasted up for all to see and now I'll paste a quote here from the article:The storyline is carried forward via in-game cutscenes (which look marvelous) and via PDA's that you pick up along the way. id has done a fine job in moving the storyline with this method as the PDA's are vital for door access codes, mission instructions, etc. Most PDA's come with at least one audio log from a satisfyling dull voice (hey, come on, they're stationed on Mars... what do you want them to do, sing to you how they found a dead scientist folded in half and shoved in an air duct?) and everything is pretty clear cut? My point? The story doesn't get in the way of the game. It helps to drive it forward. So yeah, creep on over and read that entire review and if you haven't purchased the game maybe you should do so right now.

Unofficial Voodoo2_Patch_v1_0 For Doom 3
First of all this isn't any kind of official patch...heh. Here's a bit of wackyness I spotted on good olde Blues News. It seems that voodoo.zarovka.com has a patch to get DOOM 3 running on a Voodoo 2 video card. Theres a tonnage of screenshots on the 3dfxzone forums if you desire to see the results. Be aware that theres a lot of shots and if you haven't played the game these shots show alot of areas. Errr anyhow I think Doom 3 looks like Hell on a Voodoo 2 but thats just my opinion.

Doom 3 Book Review
Remember that news I posted the other day about the Making Of Doom 3 Book? Anyhow on HomeLan Fed they posted a review on the book and here is a clip:Throughout the entire book, Kent writes The Making of Doom 3 with a pure professional journalism style that is also very easy to read and never dry. Kent isn’t afraid to write about Doom 3’s problems in its road to completion so don’t expect a completely glossed over look at the game. Hmmmm that sounds pretty good. Have a gander at that review.

Doom On Doom 3
A Doom 3 site was revealed to me today through the grapevine (Hurdler --> Phoebus --> me). Anyways it seems that these dudes are making the shareware version of Doom in the Doom 3 engine.I finished the first version of it, and saw with the knowledge I had developed in the process of making it, that it was pretty bad. So I remade it. Scrapped that and remade it again. I developed this version and as I developed it, I changed things about the game and turned it into the basis for a mod. The mod is Classic Doom for Doom 3, and will feature the first episode of The Ultimate Doom. Not sure where we will go from there. So check out the Classic Doom For Doom 3 site.
