Project Crimson Flows
Disciple-X sends word that he has started a new megawad similar to OmegaDM, called Project Crimson. This effort will be Deathmatch specific, with the plan to strategically use new Zdoom/Zdaemon v1.23-2.0 special effects. Disciple-X has already compiled some MP3-quality Playstation DOOM music remixes as well. Why the Playstation DOOM music, you may ask? Due to deathmatch being taken so seriously, music is generally disabled when playing against one another... but a soundtrack like the one from the PSX Doom is quiet and ambient... so all players will still hear CD/MP3 Quality music while hearing where one another is at or respawning... The PSX Doom tracks also set the Sci-Fi atmosphere of this WAD perfeclty, better than any tracks from OmegaDM could. Of course to still make the WAD music sound original, the Tracks have been remixed and blended together. The wad also has remastered versions of the Original Doom/Playstation Doom sound effects, as well as completely new sound effects. Now for some better news... The 4-level beta has already been released so that the Doom community can play test it and send feedback. GetSomewhere.net is already hosting this WAD on their Zdaemon server... The WAD is currently set up for 1on1 deathmatch only. The WAD file can be downloaded using the Zdaemon Launcher bundeled with the latest versi! Head over to Project Crimson for more info and the download!

I am doing Map21 for the project. I haven't named the level yet. I'm working on it a lot, so Zephyr Progress has slowed down. Take a look at Doom Zephyr.

Net loss for the first-half was $5.9 million ($0.07 per share), versus net income of $29.8 million ($0.29 per diluted share) a year ago. Doom Wad Station Megawad Contest
Sematary and Blue Paladin will be holding the first monthly Wad of the month contest that will begin on November 15 and end on December 15, 2003. Here are the rules:- The wad must be Zdoom compatible. That doesn't mean that you need to edit for Zdoom, it only means that you must make sure that it will run with that port.
- The regular text file that you find with wads on download must be included or the wad will be discarded.
- All wads must be map01 for Doom2.
- Anything goes. Be creative, have fun.
- Most importantly of all - email Sematary by Novermber 30, 2003 to let him know you will be participating.
All three top wads will be included in the Doom Wad Station Megawad. Email Sematary for the rest of the jive because theres some prizes up for grabs and whatnot.

Doomed On Titan!
A new public domain IWAD is in the works and the project in question is The People's Doom. Boingo The Clown is leading the project and he recently finished and uploaded the story for the new IWAD, which really sets the mood for the project with some nice atmosphere. The story takes place on Titan which happens to be one of Saturn's moons... So check out the story right here. The site is still under construction and the project is still in the pre-alpha phase so don't expect to see any screenshots yet. Oh and heres a snip of the story! We picked up a signal less than half an hour ago. It was extremely weak. We barely picked it up over the normal background radiation. The skipper pauses a moment, then continues in a quieter tone, as if telling a secret, We think it might be from the Leviathan. The People's Doom awaits your inspection and go read that story....it's cool.
